The JOSMAR JM-801 has been designed for head&tail cutting and gutting of rock cod, mackerel and morphologically similar species, both onboard fishing vessels and onshore factories.

The main feature of the JM-801 Head&Tail Cutting, Gutting Machine is its simple operation.
The fish is placed in the bucket of the transport pocket, with the head towards the operator and the belly towards the cutting knife.
The machine has a guiding device that allows the operator to position the fish precisely where the knife will cut the head.
Next, the fish is carried by the conveyor belt in a controlled way to the rotating knife, where a straight and precise cut is performed, and the head is separated from the fish trunk.
The machine has a system for blocking and holding the fish during the heading process.
The device consists of a polyurethane toothed belt, whose position is adjusted to the thickness of the fish, holding it in place during the head cutting process.
Fish head falls through a chute, and the conveyor carries the fish trunk towards the gutting section of the machine.
The gutting system is equipped with a vacuum system to suck up the guts. When the fish trunk arrives at the guts extraction point, the vacuum sucking system is activated by means of a mechanical device.
The guts are sucked through a pipe placed just in front of the open belly cavity of the fish. The pipe is connected with the accumulation tank.
The guts collection and accumulation tank is equipped with a cleaning system. When the tank is full, a pilot lights up, the machine stops, and the accumulated guts are emptied through a hatch and a drain valve.
The vacuum is generated by a vacuum pump, which is connected to the guts collecting tank.
The vacuum pump and the guts sucking & accumulation tank are installed underneath the machine in the frame.
Optionally, the vacuum kit (pump and vacuum tank) can be placed separated from the machine, both to avoid the noise of the pump in the fish processing area, and to store and unload the guts in a suitable place.
A team of 2 operators can process up to 110 fish/minute as long as the operator has a continuous feed to this workstation.
