Description

The JOSMAR JM-713 skinning machine has been designed for the automatic skinning of cephalopods. This robust machine can be adapted to process different species adjusting the inclination degree of its peeling devices.

  • Developed to be integrated into high capacity continuous processing lines.
  • The product is infeed and evacuated from the skinning machine automatically.
  • The multiple configuration options of the equipment guarantee an optimum quality of skinning as well as the maximum yield of the product.

    • Flying squid  (illex sp.), Loligo squid (loligo sp), cuttlefish (sepia sp.).
  • Capacity:  600 Kg / hour approx, depending on the species and size of the product.
  • Design: Compact and robust.
  • Manufacture: The skinning machine, the infeed conveyor and the accumulation hopper are manufactured entirely in stainless steel Aisi-316.
  • Regulation Systems:  Provided with regulation systems and quick adjustments of the equipment components, to adapt it to the different species and sizes.
  • Control panel: Polyester-fiberglass electric control panel, with protection degree IP-66.
  • Drive: Electric motors, controlled by frequency inverters.
  • Complementary equipment:
    • Product infeed conveyor perfectly integrated with the skinning machine, for a constant supply of product. 
    • Product accumulation hopper in the first section of the conveyor, to guarantee the supply of product to the skinner.  
  • Safety: Manufactured according to current standards. CE marked.
  • Hygiene: Easy cleaning, with easily removable panels, for access to all components and parts of the equipment.
  • Operators: With the right configuration, no operator is required.

 

OPTIONS FOR OPERATIONAL CONFIGURATION ACCORDING TO SPECIES AND PRODUCT SIZE:

  • The inclination can be adjusted according to the product to be peeled, in order to regulate the product remaining time over the peeling roller.
  • The whole set of rollers and drive systems are assembled in a rigid structure, which pivots on a single point of anchorage to the main frame of the machine, allowing the position of the skinning rollers from the horizontal position up to a maximum inclination of 45º.
  • The peeling rollers and drive rollers revolutions per minute can be adjusted through a frequency inverter.
  • Infeed conveyor speed is also adjustable with a frequency converter, to infeed the machine with the right throughput rate.

Functioning

  • The elevator infeed conveyor discharges the product sequentially in the skinner infeed chute.
  • The product slides towards the peeling roller. A sharp blade is fixed above the roller. The distance between the blade and the roller is accurately adjusted. The grooves of the roller trap the skin of the cephalopod, and the blade releases it from the muscle.
  • The rotation of the rollers generates a rotary movement to the cephalopods sliding them fluidly and preventing blockage with other pieces that are being peeled. The product rotation and its displacement on the peeling roller optimize the yield and quality of the process, by effectively putting the cephalopod in touch with peeling roller, meanwhile sliding along its entire length.
  • Under the grooved roller that removes the skin, there is another scraper roller that releases it towards the water filtering tray.
