Continuous Brine freezer

  • Tank for freezing fish and crustaceans in brine in a continuous product flow .
  • Designed for freezing by immersion in concentrated brine at 21º Baume, at a temperature of -19º C.
  • For freezing, the product is immersed in the brine by means of a conveyor which moves it along the length of the freezing tank, keeping it immersed in the brine during the whole journey.
  • At the end of the tank another conveyor is located, which removes the frozen product from the tank.
  • Freezing time depends on the type of product and its size.

Tank or main vat.

  • Tank built with plate and profiles in stainless steel quality AISI-316L.
  • Tank side walls built with 4 mm thick plate, with vertical reinforcements of angular profile.
  • External thermal insulation by a 40 kg/m3 density expanded polyurethane plate, 80mm thick.
  • External insulation lining built with AISI-316L stainless steel plate.
  • Brine tank with sanitary tank doors to facilitate tank cleaning.
  • Tank drainage and emptying valve.
  • Supports built with height adjustable tubular profiles for levelling the equipment into the final position, and wheels to facilitate transport in the installations.

Freezing conveyor belt.

  • Plastic modular belt conveyor by the Intralox brand (FDA and USDA approved). With pushers to move the product totally submerged in the brine
  • Located at the top of the tank
  • Driven by a  electric gear motor, directly coupled to the drive shaft, with its corresponding reaction arm and protective elastomer.
  • Engine fairing, built in stainless steel AISI-316L quality.
  • Stainless steel shafts, with fretworked sprockets on them and mounted on polyamide bearings with ball bearings and seals.
  • Open structure, built with sheet and profiles in stainless steel quality AISI-316L.
  • Variable conveyor speed. Adjustable on the control panel. The speed is adjusted so that the product remains submerged in brine for the appropriate time for freezing.

Conveyor lifting freezing system

  • Gantry and hoist system with electric motors for lifting the main conveyor, extracting it from the freezing tank to facilitate cleaning.

Product extraction conveyor

  • Plastic modular belt conveyor by the Intralox brand (FDA and USDA approved). With pushers to extract and lift the product fully submerged in the brine.
  • Located at the extreme end of the tank. with a broken shape
  • Driven by a  electric gear motor, directly coupled to the drive shaft, with its corresponding reaction arm and protective  flexible coupling.
  • Engine fairing, built in stainless steel AISI-316L quality.
  • Stainless steel shafts, with fretworked sprockets on them and mounted on polyamide bearings with ball bearings and seals.
  • Open structure, built with sheet and profiles in stainless steel quality AISI-316L.
  • Variable conveyor speed. Adjustable on the control panel.

 Static brine filters

  • Filter tank located on the side of the main tank whose function is to clean the brine from the main tank, by means of static filters that are easily removed by hand for cleaning.

Roto brine filters

  • Roto brine filters for thorough cleaning of the brine continuously.
  • The filtration system keeps the brine free of particles and residues, to achieve optimum heat exchange.
  • The rotary filters are located on the sides of the tank, making maintenance and cleaning easier.

Multi-tube heat exchanger

  • Under the main tank, there is a multi-tube cooling exchanger, through which the brine is continuously recirculated, driven by electric pumps.
  • The recirculated flow and the speed of the brine flow through the tubular exchanger are designed to cool efficiently and homogeneously all the brine contained in the tank.
  • Continuous recirculation homogenizes both the salt concentration and the brine temperature.

Brine recirculation electro pumps

  • Located  at the front of the tank, on a stainless steel bench.
  • Pumps with open impeller and stainless steel body.
  • 4.00 kW power.

Refrigerant flow control valves. (Not included)

  • Supplied by the owner’s refrigerator supplier.

  • Electric cabinet manufactured in fibreglass reinforced polyester resin.
  • Leading brand switchgear.
